Blocking Time and Availability Overrides

Block specific dates or set custom hours for a particular day.

Availability overrides let you block a resource on specific dates or set custom hours that differ from the regular weekly rules — useful for bank holidays, staff days off, deep cleans, or seasonal changes.

Creating an override

1Go to Schedule → Resources tab
2Click on the resource to open its detail page
3Click Add Override
4Select the date
5Choose Blocked (no slots available) or Custom hours (set specific start and end times)
6Add an optional reason note for internal reference
7Click Save

Blocking an entire day

Select Blocked for the date. No slots will be generated and the date will appear as unavailable on the booking page. Customers who have existing bookings on that date should be contacted manually — overrides do not automatically cancel confirmed bookings.

Custom hours for a day

If your studio opens late or closes early on a specific date, use a Custom hours override. Set the start and end time and Vastali will only generate slots within those hours, ignoring the regular weekly rule for that day.

Note: Overrides affect slot generation only. Existing bookings are not automatically cancelled when you block a date — you must cancel them manually and contact affected customers.
